About the dinner and wines
Bonhams Restaurant is delighted to be partnering with Wines That Make a Difference to host a very special fine wine dinner to raise money for the Muday Charity Association in Ethiopia. The dinner features exquisite Burgundy from top producers including Domaine des Comtes Lafon, René et Vincent Dauvissat, Domaine Henri Gouges, and Marquis d’Angerville. This is a rare chance to drink a selection of these sensational wines in mature vintages, alongside wonderful food from Michelin-starred chef, Tom Kemble.
Additional bottles of the wines will be sold by silent auction during the evening and anyone who cannot attend is very welcome to leave a bid.
About the cellar
Over several decades, the late Harry Waugh MW and renowned collector Bruce Templeton built one of the world’s most impressive fine wine collections. Past director of Château Latour, consultant to the Ritz, the QE2 and Annabel’s, Harry used his legendary palate and connections to help Bruce build one of the greatest collections of Burgundy in the world.
Wines That Make a Difference
Bruce Templeton has founded Wines That Make a Difference to raise awareness of and funds for deserving charities in Africa by donating wines from his collection. By attending this dinner you will be supporting the Muday Charity Association. All of the proceeds will go directly to Muday; the cost of the food and wines are provided by the host.
The charity provides vital educational opportunities for street children in Addis Ababa, and livelihoods for their mothers and carers. In Ethiopia each £1 goes a long way and your donation will be stretched to develop a school and entire community into a centre of hope and education that can become self-sufficient in the future.
Your host
Jasper Morris is a Master of Wine, and a globally renowned authority on the wines of Burgundy. He is a noted and exceptionally engaging speaker and is the author of the acclaimed book, Inside Burgundy.
